Advances in Health Telematics Education: A Nightingale Perspective

The NIGHTINGALE Project is especially designed for the planning and implementation of strategy in training the nursing profession in using and applying health-care information systems. It has contributed to the appropriate use of the developed telematics infrastructure across Europe by educating and training nurses across Europe in the field of nursing informatics. Towards this end, the NIGHTINGALE Project established a series of European conferences on helath telematics education, and workshops. This work presents the proceedings of the 2nd year's conferences and workshops: The 2nd European Conference on Health Telematics Education, held in 1997 in Lisbon; The 3rd Users and Policymakers Group Workshop, held in 1997 in Denmark; The 2nd Developers and Multimedia Group Workshop, held in 1997 in Greece; and the 4th Users and Policymakers Group Workshop also held in 1997 in Lisbon.
