Believe In Yourself

People who always seem to obtain what they desire appear to be lucky. However, luck has just a little role. Of sure, some people had a better start than others, but we all know people who have built a successful and happy existence from all walks of life and from all walks of life, including those who started with nothing. So, what is the difference between folks who are consistently successful and those who are consistently struggling? When you look at people (as I typically do), you'll see that some know how to acquire what they want, while others don't. My wife, who comes from a good family, will go a long way from where she is today if she does not concentrate on her objectives. People often tell her how fortunate she is to have such a lifestyle and a job that is ideal for her children, to which she responds (politely but firmly): "Lucky? It's nothing to do with good fortune. That's exactly what I had in mind." That's correct. She had always dreamed of living in an old farmhouse in the country with dogs, cats, and children, as well as a job that would accommodate them all. Let me tell you something else. She had the opportunity to freelance before we met, eight years before our first kid was born. She knew she wanted to have children in the future and thought to herself, "This is the career I'll need eventually when I have a baby," so she jumped at the chance. You can see why she doesn't want to be labeled "fortunate" since she has a job she can do while the kids are with her. My wife's approach was unremarkable. It's something that everybody can do. You can do it as well. Forget about luck; if it decides to stick with you for a time, that's fantastic, but you can still exist without it. The most essential thing is to know what you want and how to attain it. That is what this book is about.
