There's a legend regarding the David statue that goes like this: A big block of marble was claimed to have been lying on a little street in Florence, Italy, for many years. The stone was designed by a variety of well-known artists, including Leonardo da Vinci. When they saw the rock, they all declined because it was cracked and of little worth. Michelangelo resumed sculpting with that "broken and worthless" marble years later, and the result was a masterpiece of art. A small child approached Michelangelo as he was working on a statue of David and inquired as to why he was continually banging on the rock. Michelangelo expressed himself. "Inside the rock, there is an angel." "All I'm doing is releasing him." In truth, much like a block of stone, everyone of us contains a genius, a winner waiting to be freed. We aren't all worthless. In most cases, all we have to do is wait for a sculptor to arrive and remove the exterior stone, allowing the inner victor to emerge. And you are the sculptor in question.
