I Venom sono una band di Metal estremo inglese che si è formata nel 1979 a Newcastle. Sono uno dei gruppi più stimati e apprezzati della loro generazione. All'inizio della carriera registrano l'album "Welcome to Hell" (1981) e "Black Metal" (1982) considerati di grande influenza per il genere Trash Metal e il Metal estremo, infatti dal secondo album prende il nome il sottogenere omonimo.
Il trio formato da Cronos, Mantas e Abaddon ha successivamente registrato in studio gli album "At War with Satan" (1984), "Possessed" (1985) e l'album live "Eine Kleine Nachtmusik" (1986).
