JONI MITCHELL ARCHIVES VOL. 1: THE EARLY YEARS (1963-1967) debutta il 30 ottobre in una raccolta di 5 cd ed in digitale con quasi sei ore di audio inediti, tra cui le sue prime registrazioni conosciute, i demo registrati a casa, e performance live che mettono in luce gli anni formativi della Mitchell come performer e autrice; le note includono conversazioni tra la cantautrice e Cameron Crowe.
Fin dall’album di debutto uscito nel 1968, le canzoni di Joni Mitchell hanno continuato ad abbracciare diverse generazioni, hanno ispirato numerosi artisti in tutto il mondo, e hanno guadagnato ogni riconoscimento possibile. Ora, la cantautrice apre per la prima volta il suo caveau per creare Joni Mitchell Archives, una nuova serie di box set che usciranno nel corso dei prossimi anni, offrendo contenuti inediti e profonde immersioni in diverse ere della sua storica carriera. Joni Mitchell è stata intimamente coinvolta nella produzione di queste serie di archivi, prestando la sua visione e il suo tocco personale su ogni elemento del progetto.
La serie debutta il 30 ottobre con JONI MITCHELL ARCHIVES VOL. 1: THE EARLY YEARS (1963-1967), che include quasi sei ore di registrazioni inedite casalinghe, radio e live che scorrono cronologicamente dipingendo un dettagliato ritratto della rapida crescita di Mitchell come performer e autrice nel periodo che porta al suo album di debutto. Questo tesoro di audio inediti contiene 29 composizioni originali di Joni che non erano mai state pubblicate con la sua voce prima d’ora. La raccolta sarà disponibile sia in un set deluxe di 5 CD che in digitale.
