Stuart Butler è un fotografo e uno scrittore specializzato sull’Himalaya, il Myanmar e l’Africa orientale. Ha visitato per la prima volta il Myanmar nel 2001 e da allora è tornato spesso catturato dal fascino di Shwedagon. Originario dell'Inghilterra sudoccidentale vive con sua moglie e i suoi due figli sulla bellissima costa della Francia sudoccidentale.
