This text aims to provide new ideas for sports days, circuit training and keeping children active in class - even with groups as large as 75 children. In Parts One and Two, the reader will find illustrated lesson plans and games that have been used successfully with children aged four to 11, to teach basic fitness concepts and movement skills, along with creative thinking and co-operation. Strategies are included for keeping up to 75 children active and learning at the same time. In Part Three, the author, an experienced physical-education specialist, provides creative ideas for motivating students. Class-management strategies that help provide an atmosphere for learning are shared in Part Four. Part Five contains ways to communicate with parents, other teachers and the public, including the use of brochures, websites, videos and newsletters.
