The Hillier Gardener's Guide to Shrubs is one of the lead titles in a new series of gardening books from David and Charles working in partnership with Hillier, Britain's most respected plantsmen. The Hillier stand at the world-renowned Chelsea Flower Show has won an astonishing 59 Gold Medals with an unbroken record of Golds since 1945. Series Consultant and author of The Hillier Gardener's Guide to Shrubs is Andrew McIndoe, who has designed the Hillier Chelsea stand for the last 15 years. Andrew is Deputy Managing Director of Hillier. Hillier and David and Charles have been working together since 1973, when the Hillier Manual of Trees and Shrubs was first published. The standard book on its subject, it has been in print continuously since then.
