Pubblicato per la prima volta nel novembre 1989, Slip of the tongue è il terzo album degli Whitesnake e ha raggiunto la decima posizione nelle classifiche inglesi e americane, anche per merito delle due hit top 40 “Fool For Your Loving” e “The Deeper The Love.”
Rhino festeggia i suoi trent’anni con nuove versioni dell’album, incluso un cofanetto 6CD/1DVD.
Il cofanetto contiene una versione nuovamente rimasterizzata dell’album, più registrazioni in studio inedite, audio e video della performance della band al festival Monsters of Rock del 1990 ed una intervista al fondatore e frontman degli Whitesnake, David Coverdale. Si presenta in un libro con copertina rigida di 60 pagine riempito di memorabilia dell’era.
Altre versioni saranno disponibili dallo stesso giorno, ovvero le edizioni deluxe doppio CD e doppio LP, che includono l’album nuovamente rimasterizzato ed esteso con bonus track rare ed inedite. Una versione CD singolo include l’album rimasterizzato, insieme a registrazioni alternative dei singoli B-sides. In più sarà disponibile in digitale.
