United States Foreign Trade Highlights: Trends in the Global Market

U.S. international economic relations have never been more important in today's global economy. The world trade patterns that were once relegated to the realm of academics have moved to a prominent position in discussions among the general public and media. U.S exports make a contribution to the economies of most state and local areas, while imports allow the U.S. consumer to choose from a wide variety of goods and services.
