Young Person's Guide to the Residential Special Schools Standards

Residential special schools in England must follow rules, or Standards, that are set by the government. This guide tells you what the rules are, and how they apply to you and where you live. Use this full-colour illustrated guide to find out what should happen when you move into a residential special school and what that school should be doing for you while you live there. The guide covers lots of issues such as staying in touch with friends and family, food, care and education, working together, your health, getting the special help you need, and hobbies. It also tells you about how your school should be managed by the staff that work there. You can also find out how to make a complaint or what to do if you think the rules are being broken.
