I californiani GRANDADDY hanno pubblicato solo 4 album tra il 1992 e il 2006, anno i cui si sono sciolti.
Il loro sound, prevalentemente ispirato dal polistrumentista e front man del gruppo Jason Lytle, è un’originale miscela di rock melodico, elettronica e folk. Il 2017 li vede tornare alla ribalta con un nuovo album intitolato ‘Last Place’ e realizzato per l’etichetta di Danger Mouse 30th Century Records.
